General Information

The 2020 Apple Harvest Festival will be held over two weekends, Friday-Sunday, October 2-4 & October 9-11. Please visit the Directions & Hours page to view the complete schedule of Festival and Shuttle Bus hours.

Admission to the Southington Apple Harvest Festival is FREE! Parking at Southington High School (720 Pleasant St.) and shuttle bus service to and from the Festival grounds is also free of charge.

Dogs are prohibited on the Festival grounds per Southington Town Ordinance (Ch. 390 Sec. 20) and violators will be subject to a fine. Certified service animals being used by handicapped persons are exempt.

Yes. The Southington Town Hall’s visitor parking lot has been designated for handicapped parking only during Festival hours. The entrance to the lot is on Berlin Avenue across from TD Bank. The lot itself is situated directly behind the Southington Community Cultural Arts (SoCCA) building at 93 Main Street.

Yes; however, shuttle bus service runs on Saturdays & Sundays only. The buses will be located at Southington High School, 720 Pleasant Street, where there is plenty of free parking. Buses run continuously to/from the Festival grounds starting 30 minutes before the Festival’s opening time and ending 30 minutes past closing time.

Strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and other assistive devices may be brought on board the shuttle buses so long as they can be folded to fit in a seating area. No items may be stored in the aisle.

Yes. Outdoor portable restrooms have been set up in two areas on the Festival grounds: On Riccio Way (to the left of the food booths, heading up towards the carnival area), and in the rear of the Bank of America parking lot behind the main stage.

Special Events

The Apple Harvest Festival’s annual fireworks display is scheduled for the first Saturday (October 3, 2020) at 9:00 pm. In the event of inclement weather, fireworks may be postponed until the second Saturday (October 10, 2020) at 9:00 pm.

Fireworks are set off from the Southington Dog Park on Mill St. (off of North Main St.) and are visible from all areas of the Festival grounds. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or blankets for seating during the show. Shuttle buses will run for an additional 30 minutes (until 10:00 pm) on the evening of the fireworks.

The Apple Harvest Festival parade is scheduled for the first Sunday (October 4, 2020) at 2:00 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the parade may be postponed until the second Sunday (October 11, 2020) at 2:00 pm.
